"Book of Remembrance"

In Lublin on 28 October 2009 the Polish Vice-President of the International Auschwitz Committee Kazimierz Albin, a former prisoner in Auschwitz concentration camp with the prisoner number 118, and the Director of the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum Dr. Piotr M. A. Cywi?ski presented the “Book of Remembrance”. The book provides information about the transports of Polish citizens from Lublin and the Lublin region to Auschwitz concentration camp in the years 1940 – 1944.

“They are books for the people and against forgetting, because they give the victims names,” emphasized Kazimierz Albin when commenting on his contribution to the project which is under the patronage of the Polish Minister of Culture Bogdan Zdrojewski.
