In 2026, the International Auschwitz Committee will be represented for the second time with its own stand at the Leipzig Book Fair. You will find us in Hall 4, Stand A 101, where we will be offering the Committee’s publications, memoirs and speeches by Auschwitz survivors, as well as stories that have emerged from numerous encounters and conversations with survivors of the camp.

The new book by Dr Eva Umlauf, President of the International Auschwitz Committee and herself an Auschwitz survivor, Genau so fängt es an - Ein Appell (This Is Exactly How It Begins – An Appeal), will also be available at the stand. Lea Surkau, a former volunteer at the International Youth Meeting Centre, and Jerome Déodat, a member of staff at the International Youth Meeting Centre, will be in charge of our stand. Jerome is also responsible for communications and work at the Gerhard Richter House.

Eva Umlauf, President of the IAC and an Auschwitz survivor, and Christoph Heubner, writer and Executive Vice-President of the IAC, will also be at the stand for a while and will be available for conversations, meetings and book signings.
